Superfast Broadband (FTTC)

Superfast Broadband is an excellent offering for SMEs. It is a broadband service delivered by replacing the largest percentage of a circuit with fibre. Essentially, fibre is run from the local Exchange to your nearest cabinet. From the cabinet, copper completes the delivery of service from the cabinet to your premises. For that reason, a more accurate description more commonly adopted by business suppliers is FTTC (Fibre-To-The-Cabinet).

Broadband Connections

Traditional Broadband still has its place. However due to contention, limited upload speeds and the reliability issues associated with copper connections, it has largely been superseded by Superfast Broadband (FTTC). FTTC offers a far superior service at a similarly attractive price point.

In many rural regions, FTTC is still not available and broadband remains the only available low cost offering.

Fibre to the Premises (FTTP)

Fibre to the Premises (FTTP) differs from Fibre to the Cabinet (FTTC) as it utilises the fibre optic cabling for the entire route between your business and the local internet exchange, increasing speeds and performance significantly.

Leased Lines

Leased lines are high end, business grade circuits that come with guarantees. Guaranteed speed and guaranteed uptime. Unlike broadband equivalents, they have an upload speed equal to their download speeds and are uncontended – which means the bandwidth is completely dedicated to your business. Circuit speed can be delivered from 10Mbs to 1Gbs and above.
